Trouble sleeping is a common problem for cancer patients.
This can be difficulty falling asleep, waking up during the night, or early morning wake ups with the inability to get back to sleep. This may be caused though pain, fatigue, or depression or anxiety and cause feelings of isolation. Other factors may be an irregular sleep pattern, excessive amount of time spent in bed, napping, excess use of electronic devices before sleep or just unrealistic sleep expectations.
Facebook chats are wonderful company for those not sleeping. Luckily Shelli had her US friends to keep her company.
