Activities

When undergoing treatment, life seems to be “GroundHog Day” with repeated visits to your medical team, surgeon, oncologist, local doctor, scans, ultrasounds and treatment.

Everything becomes so busy both patients and carers forget to take time out to relax and do activities they enjoy. Go for a walk, watch a movie, read, listen to music, garden, craft or yoga. Take on a new craft such as knitting, crocheting, scrapbooking,  painting, drawing or photography that you always wanted to do. If you cannot get to classes check out online ones. It is said that creating art provides a distraction, giving your brain a break from your usual thoughts. Don’t be afraid that you are not very good at something, who cares anyway, it’s the journey not the result.
