Eating is not easy

Many side effects associated with cancer and its treatment might cause a loss of appetite. When your mouth is yucky and you have a metallic taste you can lose interest in food and eating.
Pain, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, anxiety, stress and  depression may also be reasons for not wanting to eat.

It is important that you have a well-balanced diet to maintain energy but this can be difficult for cancer patients if they don’t feel like eating.

If you are unable to drink fluids or feel other symptoms of dehydration consult your Doctor.

Speak to your medical team for advice about your loss of appetite as good nutrition is needed to keep your immune system strong.
