Set yourself small, manageable goals during your day. Pushing yourself to keep going won’t help and less able to cope especially if you have advanced cancer and are very tired.
Along with recording your daily temperature keep a note in your journal of your energy levels and activities. There may be a pattern to your day and you can plan activities accordingly.
Plan your day to include rest times taking short naps or rest breaks rather than one long nap. You don’t have to sleep during these rest times, just sitting or lying down to rest will help.
Too much rest can lower your energy level and make it harder to sleep at night. Exercise if you can, even if you just include some gentle walking or other light exercise such as stretching.
