Some days are just hard

In life it’s nice to make plans, but for a cancer patient when it comes to time on some days even  “One day at a time” just doesn’t cut it.

Sometimes you need to just deal with things as they happen, small steps, milliseconds and try and meet your needs the best way you can. If you need to withdraw for awhile, it’s up to you and engage when you are up to it.

Some friends do not understand this and feel neglected or left out even though they have no idea what you are going through.

But others understand, give you space but keep in contact with messages etc. It’s amazing how this can give you strength. They realise you may not be well enough, physically or emotionally, to reply at present.

Some days are just hard.
