Learning to say ‘yes’ to what matters and ‘no’ to what doesn’t can be life changing. Let go of things you don’t need or use. Enjoy positive people, daily walks or a weekend trip, laughing, reading, music, writing, favourite crafts, your dog or cat, deep breaths and hugs.
Learn to say ‘no’ to all the things that stop you from doing the things you love. This can help you feel more in control and happier. Say “no” to taking what other people say too personally and doing things out of obligation. Don’t over-commit or over schedule and avoid negative people, drama, clutter, too much social media or uninteresting TV.
Keep a “yes” list of what you enjoy and gradually add to it. By filling your life from your “yes” list there won’t be room for the no’s.
