Try to live each day as normally as you can maintaining a daily routine. Our bodies like routine so if you feel okay stick to familiar habits. Try to get up and go to bed at a similar time every day and once you’re up, get dressed in your day time clothes. It can help you feel more energetic for the day. Remember, you don’t have to act okay or be cheerful when you are not. Avoiding your feelings may make you feel worse, not better.
Enjoy the simple things you like to do. Your daily routine may include going to work, spending time with family and friends, taking part in hobbies, a movie, spend some time with your pet or go on trip between those medical visits.
If you are well enough take pleasure in big events, like a friend’s wedding, birthdays, celebrations graduations or the kids school events and sporting activities. Don’t stop going to events because you have cancer.
