Distance doesn’t mean “Distant”

When a loved one or friend develops cancer you can feel helpless and worried if you live far away. You should not use kilometres as a reason not to provide valuable support and assistance. Distance doesn’t have to mean “distant.” Stay in touch through our emails, phone calls, cards, gifts, and positive notes. Emotional support and concern can bring comfort and have an amazing affect on patient’s spirits and chats will keep you feeling involved and informed.

Cancer treatment can be physically and emotionally exhausting.   Don’t be disheartened if you don’t get a reply. They may be too sick or too tired. Give them your support with no strings attached by letting them know there’s no need to reply or send a thank you note.
