Pack snacks

It’s a good idea to pack yourself a snack pack and light meals for chemotherapy treatment day. You may get hungry during treatment so bring a variety of snacks that you personally enjoy snacking on. These may change over the period of treatments as your taste buds change. You may also develop an aversion to hospital food and not want anything provided.  If you travel a long way or have to spend time having or waiting for treatment you won’t have to stop to get food or rely on the food at the hospital or treatment centre.

Don’t forget your water bottle! Headaches are common during chemotherapy treatment and you don’t want to become dehydrated. Drinking water or juice will keep you hydrated. It’ll also help flush those nasty chemo toxins out of your bloodstream faster.
