International Men’s Day 2018

19th November 2018 is International Men’s Day. The first Australian International Men’s Day consisted of a single celebration in 1994. This International Men’s Day celebrates worldwide the positive value men bring to the world, their families and communities. It highlights positive role models and raise awareness of men’s well-being.

November is already an important month for Movember is the month focusing rising the awareness and raising money for mens health. To celebrate this International Men’s Day we would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and hospital staff who commit so much to their cancer patients and those doing research to help find better treatments and strive towards finding a cure.

To the men, see your doctors for regular medical check-ups to help you stay healthy and to pick up early warning signs of disease or illness. Cardiovascular (heart) disease, diabetes and some cancers can often be picked up in their early stages, when treatment may be more successful. If you have high-risk factors, such as a family history of a disease, it may be more likely that you will develop a particular disease. Regular check-ups may help your doctor pick up early warning signs.
