Be brave or positive!

Some cancer patients do not like being thought of as being brave and feel they do not have a realistic choice. There is a choice to be positive but it is not bravery.

Anyone faced with cancer will do anything in their power to live so to others this would be brave but those with cancer do not feel brave when they are sick from chemo or the radiation makes them burnt, weak and tired.

I suppose brave is meant as a compliment and far better than being referred to as words like ‘warrior’, ‘fighter’ or in a ‘battle.’  They never asked to go to into battle with anyone or thing!
