When you are busy with festive activities you can neglect personal care and feel stressed. Cancer treatment is hard on your body so give yourself self-care and set aside ‘me’ time. Be honest with yourself and listen to your body about what you can and can’t do.
Take a power nap. Allow yourself to rest and get proper sleep. Many festive foods are packed with fat, sugar, or sodium, so remember, moderation and make healthy eating choices. Go outside for some fresh air and incorporate a walk and exercise into your day to help reduce stress. Feeling down, try watching your favourite movie or playing some music.
Take care! Too much activity and celebrations and you might spend Christmas in the emergency room of the hospital.
