The big day is finally approaching but there are a lot of health risks surrounding the festive season. During Christmas celebrations we’re cooking for more people than we usually do. When the weather is hot the fridge can be overloaded with festive foods.
Before preparing food make sure that there is enough room in the fridge to keep cold food at or less than 5oC. Use the Esky with ice for the alcohol and cold drinks and save the space in the fridge for your food and not opening the fridge door too often and letting the cold air out.
Food safety is important for people both during and after cancer treatment Cancer and cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy often weaken the immune system. This makes it harder for your body to protect itself from foodborne illness, also called food poisoning. Foodborne illness is caused by eating food that contains harmful bacteria, parasites, or viruses.
