Transport during hot weather

Know someone having to go to treatment during these hot days?  Please ask them if they have transport. If you are busy or working try and arrange a ride between family or friends. Check whether the patient can get volunteer transport through hospital or treatment centre.

After treatment the patients are often not at their healthiest and public transportation can be challenging.
The extreme hot weather can make them worse. When they arrive back home, make sure they are cool, comfortable and have fluids to keep them hydrated.

Getting to treatment becomes an added burden to an already stressful time.
