You’re having a bad day and blame yourself for upsetting the people you love, worry you’re a burden or envious of your friend’s good health. Some days can bring feelings you’re not used to dealing with. It can be  something very simple and inconsequential that turns a day from okay to awful. But there are times when it’s all too much, you have no good energy and people seem inconsiderate and unkind.

Cancer patients say sometimes they just need to give in to their feelings, maybe shed a few tears and crawl into bed for awhile. It’s okay. You don’t have to hide these feelings to make those around you feel better. Don’t try to be cheerful if you’re not. If you feel one of those days coming on it may be best to warn those around to avoid them feeling that they have upset you.

It these feelings are constant then let your medical team know as they may advise with a counsellor or go to a support group.
