March 1 is World Compliment Day. If you are heading to treatment don’t forget to give a few compliments to your medical team, the nurses and staff who greet you each time you arrive. Giving compliments not only makes the receiver happy it can help build up a relationship between you and the people looking after you.
Say something nice to your caregiver, friends, and family who deliver meals, drop in for visits or leave little notes. Compliment your parents, in-laws and family members who take over household duties, take you to treatment or put up with your grumpy mood changes. Hopefully a compliment will give them reassurance they are doing something good for you.
