International Puppy Day, best friend

March 23rd is International Puppy Day, a great day to talk about puppies and dogs. They can give great joy, companionship and unconditional love reducing stress and anxiety. They don’t judge if you are upset, never give advice, tell you to be strong, are fabulous listeners, love cuddles and are an extension of the family.

Making arrangements for temporary care is important. Make sure you have someone who can take care of your pets if you get too sick or have to be in the hospital. Keep written instructions for feeding, cleaning, medicines, toileting, and veterinary contacts close by if needed.

If everyday pet care becomes too difficult to manage you will need to find assistance to make sure your pet gets the exercise, food, grooming and general care they need.
