Autumn brings with it cool nights, brisk mornings and clear days idea for walks. Unfortunately those bright colourful leaves start to drop from the trees eventually winding up on the ground and creating a slip and fall hazard.
Add a little rain and these leaves can be slippery and they conceal any potentially hazardous defects to the ground beneath, such as loose paving, pot holes or cracks in the footpath. If out and about awareness is the best way to avoid slips and falls so look before you step and choose clear paths whenever possible. The wind can send autumn leaves to strange places creating significant slipping hazards on the concrete steps. Concentrate on walking and avoid talking on your phone.
It is important to keep the outside areas around your home you use most often clear of fallen leaves, slime and moss. If you are fatigued maybe a friend could help.
