Some patients can relax and read at treatment and others work on their iPads or laptops. Often centres have wireless internet so you can catch up emails, facebook, instagram or work etc. Be aware if using public internet. If you are into craft try knitting, crocheting or colouring books. Keeping occupied will help make time go by.

But for some, they cannot concentrate enough. We include some headphones in Kit. Load your favourite tunes, relaxation tracks, audiobook or podcasts onto your phone or music player, pop in your earphones, close their eyes and forget the world for awhile.

They’re also great for blocking out the hospital sounds, which are a real source of stress for many.

You may not be in the mood for conversation. Pop your earphones in even without music, and you will find people will give you that space you need.
