National Palliative Care Week

Palliative care is an issue that will affect all of us at some point in our lives, whether as a patient, carer, family member, neighbour or friend. National Palliative Care Week is a national week supported by the Department of Health to raise awareness and understanding about palliative care in the Australian community.

The theme for National Palliative Care Week 2019 is ‘What matters most?’ and it will be held from the 19-25 May 2019.

“During National Palliative Care Week we encourage everyone to discuss what matters most to them with their loved ones and health care team.” PCA Board Chair, Dr Jane Fischer.
