Work out your priorities

Stress is a natural part of our daily lives.  But when you are faced with a cancer treatment schedule, it’s important to work out what’s important and what’s not. Decide what must get done and what can wait, and learn to say no to new tasks if you are overwhelmed.

Fatigue and tiredness from chemotherapy can be a debilitating side effect. Some days it’s just too exhausting getting out of bed. It’s a feeling of excessive whole-body tiredness, exhausted, drowsy, confused or impatient.  It comes on suddenly without warning and is not related to activity or exertion. It is a complete lack of energy that is not relieved by sleep.

Work out your priorities so you save your energy for the most important things.
