Eye issues

Many cancer patients experience eye issues during treatment. Eye problems  caused by some types of chemotherapy may include irritated or dry eyes causing an uncomfortable dryness, tearing, redness, pain, and blurred vision.

Winter weather and cold winds can also dry your eyes so give them extra protection and wrap a warm scarf around your face or even wearing eye protection when outside. Wearing your shades during the not-so-sunny months offers protection from cold winds and dust particles.

Always wash your hands before you touching your eyes and avoid rubbing as you could spread germs into your eye or make any irritation worse.

If you are having vision problems consult your medical team. If it’s dry eye you may require artificial tears or eye drops would help soothe your eyes.
