June 19: Red Apple Day

Red Apple Day is the highlight of the Bowel Cancer Australia Awareness Month (Wednesday June 19) each year. From its humble beginnings, Bowel Cancer Australia has grown to become the leading community-funded charity dedicated to prevention, early diagnosis, research, quality treatment and care for everyone affected by bowel cancer. Australians are encouraged to support the vital work of Bowel Cancer Australia through the purchase of a Bowel Cancer Awareness Ribbon and apple themed fundraising activities.

While the risk of bowel cancer increases significantly with age, the disease doesn’t discriminate, affecting men and women, young and old. For further information visit Bowel Cancer Australia’s Bowel Cancer Awareness Month website.
