You and your family will have questions so don’t be afraid to speak up especially if you are unsure or unclear about your diagnosis and treatment. It’s important to be able to talk frankly and openly.

Keep a notebook or diary and jot down questions you want answered for every appointment. A prepared list means you won’t forget to ask about your concerns. Don’t worry if your questions seem silly or don’t make sense. It’s your life and all your questions are important and deserve an answer.

Do the same when you are admitted to hospital and have the list ready for when your medical team drop by. It’s so easy to forget especially if they are in a hurry.

If you don’t understand your medical team’s answers asks many times as necessary or for a simpler explanation.

We have popped a notebook in our kit for cancer case for you to record your concerns.
