It’s nearly Spring but health authorities are warning that we need to stay vigilant as peak flu season passes. The ‘sickie season’ appears to also be finishing early with the rates of influenza infections dropping over the past month.

“The latest influenza data suggests Victoria has already passed the peak of its flu season much earlier than in previous years, although health authorities warn there is a still the need for vigilance.” Herald Sun.

If you are out and about don’t forget your best friend, hand sanitiser.  If soap and water are not available have plenty of hand sanitiser close by.

Cancer and cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and stem cell/bone marrow transplantation, often weaken the immune system making it harder for your body to protect itself. Your health and fighting infection and germs is the most important factor when undergoing treatment so you cannot afford anyone near you, preparing food for you to forget.

We can never stress enough the importance of importance of hand washing and hand sanitisers. We’ve popped a purse size Thank you hand sanitiser in Kit for Cancer case to carry it around in your bag at all times for an extra boost.
