During COVID-19 lockdown #iso people have been complaining of feeling so exhausted! Their lives changed, many worked from home and still are. Even though their lives slowed down they became pretty much stressed out. Energy levels were zapped!! Sometimes I wondered this might be the closest a normal healthy person might get to experiencing what cancer fatigue is like.

Feeling tired and lacking energy (fatigue) is the most common and often the most debilitating side effect of chemotherapy.  Cancer fatigue is different from everyday tiredness and can happen suddenly. Everything can seem overwhelming, an effort, very frustrating and affect your moods.  Your work and social life, relationships and general day-to-day living become difficult. Resting does not always help. It is a good idea to set small, manageable goals and plan your day to include rest times.

We have included in Kit for Cancer case a journal to keep a record of your energy levels to see if part of the day is better than others. You will then know when is the best time to go out or get a few jobs done around the house.
