Plan ahead for the Christmas Break

There is so much to think about at this time of year. At Christmas it’s important not to forget your  REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS.  Some local pharmacies may be offering reduced opening hours over the Christmas period and it’s important to plan ahead for repeat prescriptions or ordering and collecting new prescriptions that can take several days. Running out of medications would be disastrous and stress anxiety will increase worrying if you have enough to get by.

Also plan ahead before Christmas and find out who to contact if you have a problem as your medical team might take time off.  Many Specialist and GP practices will have limited opening hours between Christmas and New Year. Enquire about who you should contact if you have a problem and how you can contact them.

Check with your doctor when you will get your results if you had tests before Christmas. The results might be delayed over the holiday period. Waiting for results is often very difficult emotionally. So knowing when to expect them get might make waiting seem easier.
